Mixer Guide

Pan, Twin Shaft or Planetary: Which Mixer?

Turbo Pan mixer

A vertical-shaft mixer with rotating arms in a round pan. Simple, easy to service and well suited to general site concrete at lower outputs.

Standard on RMP and RMP-2B

Twin Shaft mixer

Two horizontal shafts turn against each other and mix fast. The usual choice for high outputs and ready-mix concrete.

Available on RCMP, RCP and RSP

Planetary mixer

Mixing tools spin on their own axis while also travelling around the pan, so no corner is missed. Gives a very even mix and is the favourite for blocks, pavers and precast.

Our Planetary Pan mixer is designed and made in-house

How to Choose

Five Questions That Decide Your Plant

  1. 01

How much concrete do you need per hour?

This sets the series and model.

  2. 02

How often will the plant move?

Frequent moves point to RMP or RMP-2B. A fixed yard points to RSP.

  3. 03

How much space do you have?

Tight sites suit the mobile and compact series.

  4. 04

How will concrete leave the plant?

Into a pump, a transit mixer or a dumper. This decides discharge height and whether you need a load-out conveyor.

  5. 05

    What power is available?

Each model has a stated connected load and recommended DG set size.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A mobile plant is built on a chassis and moves from site to site with little or no civil work. A stationary plant is installed on a foundation for long-term production and gives higher output.
